The most entertaining outcome is the most likely
The most entertaining outcome is the most likely, it is a phrase Elon Musk uses quite often. Most recently it came up when the idea of a cage fight floated around when Musk commented on the launch of a Twitter competitor by Meta. When users commented on Musk he should be careful since Zuckerberg knows Ju-Jitsu. This takes my mind to the Matrix scenes, when Neo say’s”I am going to learn Ju Jitsu?” and “I know Kung Fu” and Morpheus says, “Show me…”.
So Musk responded on Twitter to the comments “I’m up for a cage match if he is lol“. From there things started spiraling out of control. A cage fight with Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO and founder of Facebook, now META with Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, SpaceX, Neuralink, The Boring Company and Twitter that will eventually become Musk’s X.com.
Musk’s envisions X.com to be the West’s version of the Wechat app and how it functions in China; For anyone that is somewhat familiar with China you know you can’t do anything without Wechat. You book your travels or get a taxi, pay for you dinner, split bills, basically anything social that takes place in real life transactions, next to online the apps social media functions and communication functions.
Elon Musk is known for being a clown and joking around and act out memes, he famously carried in a sink into the Twitter HQ office, to as he says “let it sink in”. As the who Twitter take over was a roller coaster by itself. Mark Zuckerberg response to Musk his challenge was meme worthy and at least shows he has humor. He posted “Send location“ which was a direct meme from the Conor Mcgreggor feud with Khabib Nurmagomedov, which you might not have caught on if you don’t follow the UFC or fight sports in general. So for that I credit Mark, well done sir.
Let’s get back to what is most entertaining, the cage fight. If you would need to pick a location for this to take place what should it be, Las Vegas? Nah? It has to be the most entertaining place? So where?
The Colosseum Rome. Imagine two billionaires, the world watching, one of the most legendary Arena’s to have ever existed, Internet feuds, Technical supremacy, meme clowns, geeks trained in martial arts, setteling their feud mano a mano. The Amphitheater getting more eyes on it than it ever had it it’s lifetime. Broadcasted around the world. Are we living inside a simulation? This is a serious question to ask when reality confronts you with absurdity after absurdity.
So now we have Elon and Mark discussing locations with Dana White(CEO of UFC), showing of a t-shirt with Musk and Zuckerberg names on a t-shirt hyping it more. Elon’s mother posting on Twitter that she doesn’t want it to happen. This is leaving Elon with a graceful way out, as this shouldn’t really happen. I don’t want to imagine what happens to either of the companies stocks if any one of them gets injured. It could cost billions in market cap in their respective companies.
So it if it happens it could be the biggest UFC pay-per-view fight, bigger than McGreggor vs Mayweather. But they don’t need to do it for the money, so all profits will go to charity so that would be an entertaining outcome. Or will be the more entertaining outcome be Maye Musk calling it off sending Elon home and apologize to Mark?
